BEAST won Artist of the Year (Daesang) award for 2011 Melon Music Awards!!

I'm really excited on writing about this that as soon as I knew about the news, I immediately wanted to share this BEAUTIFUL news with you..

Successfully, our BEAST oppas won the main award which is the 2011 ARTIST OF THE YEAR (DAESANG) in 2011 Melon Music Awards!! WoW, what a news for us B2UTYS right! I'm really happy and excited about this.

This shows that their 1st full-length album, 'Fiction & Fact' was obviously a huge success!! This year shows the rise of our beloved oppas. I am NEVER bored listening to the two famous song from the album, 'Fiction' and 'On Rainy Days'. The whole album is really a pleasure to my ears no matter during the early morning before going to class or before going to bed. 'The Fact', 'Fiction', 'Back To You', 'You', 'Freeze', 'Virus', 'Calling You', 'On Rainy Days', unplugged version of 'Lightless' and an orchestra version of 'Fiction' are all really amazing and I hope that our oppas will continue their hard work and dedication for their enthusiasm in music.

The first music awards kicked off successfully tonight with Super Junior's Leeteuk, BEAST's Doojoon, and Park Shinhye taking the helm as the MCs. The award show featured Melon's Top 10 artists 2NE1, f(x), Leessang, Lena Park, BEAST, Big Bang, Super Junior, Secret, SISTAR, and IU. The 2011 Melon Music Awards: Digital Generation Music Festival took place at 7PM KST at the Olympic Park's Gymnasium Stadium tonight. Fan voting took place on October 27th, which accounted for 20% of the judging criteria and reduced a list of the Top 30 artists to 10. The Top 30 were chosen from statistics of releases from December 2010 until October 2011 based on streaming statistics (40%), number of downloads (50%) and number of SKT (South Korea Telecom) wireless users (10%). The Top 10 were then chosen by album scores (80%) and online votes (20%).

From what I read through the forum of this site, I found that people are arguing our Taeminnie's right to be in the 14th ranking. We, the faithful SHawols have always known that Taemin [and Onew] are capable of filling in the place for SHINee's main vocal Jonghyun during his absence!! I remember during one time ago that I watched a video on Youtube at which SHINee members came on a show called Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook that Taemin sang Jonghyun's high parts for 'Ring Ding Dong' and Onew sang Jonghyun's long notes for 'Juliette'. It was what people call AMAZING!! I'll provide the link for the video later on another post [my internet connection is in a bit of a problem here, sorry!!].

After 2 weeks in university~~

Ahh.. tiring.. That's the 1st conclusion that I could make for now. SOME People used to say to me that life in university isn't as hard as life in high school.. [FYI : I used to stay in hostel]. I doubted that the whole time though.. Maybe it is still early to conclude anything but I assure you that 1st few weeks as freshies are really tiring. You've got to cope with the new life in a university's hostel. It feels really different than what I used to experience for 5 years in high school and 1 year in matriculation college. The new everyday schedule that you have to cope with is something not to be fooled with. Plus, there are some problems with my timetable set by the university officials. That really stressed me out. We, the freshies did not have any experience in solving these kinds of problems and this is where seniors are reached out to. But, sadly, the system the university is using now is new to the university and they still lacked workforce on that. Some of the seniors themselves are having problems with that and who should we ask to?? We haven't got our PA yet and the faculty is now still under construction. We are now using other faculty for our lectures and that causes us to have a really bad timetable. We got the irrelevant time for some classes. People might say that I complains so much and not thankful for what I've got but you should think from our point of view.. Put yourselves in our places and I'm sure that you'll understand what we're going through right now. Right now, I'm using the 3 days off that I have to think carefully about my life in the university and ways on how to solve the problems. I am planning to add another subject to my timetable because I think that during the 1st year is most important to take extra classes when we are most excited in studying.. Putting that aside, the campus where I am living right now is still under construction where some of the important facilities did not make it in time to finish by the time we came here 2 weeks ago. Even there are water-shortage problems occurred for a few days or so. I really hate it when that happened. Some of the students resort to go to the faculty for a shower even at so early in the morning. It felt like we were going camping.. haha.. There are also this problem involving bad internet connection. It is so hard to wait while loading a page. It took several tries and skills to only update our facebook status!! [that's why I only got to update this blog now]. All in all, I really thankful though. The fact that I am able to continue my studies in my university is one of the best thing that happened in my life. I hope that living my life in university this coming 4 years will be a blessed and fun journey. Pray for me!!

It was not the first time I heard this song but I've liked it since then. Onew's voice was really sweet and can make girls' hearts melt. I personally think that Onew was really suitable singing this kind of ballad song. His part in this song seems very significant and he really deliver it well. On the other hand, Jonghyun maintains his image by his powerful vocals. His ad-libs in the song was like... really AWESOME!! Taemin has really improved and his voice seems manlier.. Key's voice was really catchy.. Minho surprised myself.. He seems good in ballads to.. I tried searching their live performance of this song on youtube and I found two videos that really caught my eyes. I'll try uploading the video here tomorrow if I can make it.
